Team BDS announced on June 30, 2025, the organization's plans to transform the brand and upgrade their presence in the esports and gaming industry.
The statement made on the team's official X account (formerly Twitter) included information about what's to be expected from the brand in the upcoming months.
First, Team BDS announced Alexandre Lopez as the team's new Chief Executive Officer. The statement defines Alexandre Lopez as a "key figure at the club since 2020 and the architect of its competitive succcess."
The announcement also included information regarding Team BDS' rebranding intentions. The full rebranding will be announced in the upcoming months, according to the team's statement. Additionally, Team BDS will move its headquarters to the center of Geneva, Switzerland.
Finally, Team BDS also announced the "upcoming launch of a nonprofit initiative aimed at promoting video games and esports among young audiences, particularly in hospitals and underprivileged communities."
The Swiss brand is currently present in three major esports titles including Rainbow Six Siege X, League of Legends, and Rocket League.
Since its creation in May 2019, Team BDS have become international champions in both Siege and Rocket League, with estimated prize pool earnings of USD$4M and USD$2,5M.
Meanwhile, in League of Legends, Team BDS have established themselves as one of the mid-top table teams in Europe's top flight, with their best performance being a Top 16 finish at the 2023 World Championship.
Despite the success collected in multiple esports scene, Team BDS' transformation began in the final months of 2024 as the organization sold some of their most well-known members to other esports powerhouses.
This includes the departures of Rocket League members Evan "M0nkey M00n" Rogez, Brice "ExoTiiK" Bigeard, and Andy "Kassio" Landais to Team Vitality, or Team Falcons' acquisition of the two-time BLAST R6 Major grand finalists, Esports World Cup 2024 champions, and Six Invitational 2025 grand finalists.
