SuperNova confirmed the team had held conversations with Ubisoft to acquire the spot left by Ninjas in Pyjamas in the BLAST R6 South America League 2026 after the Six Invitational 2021 champions announced their departure from the Rainbow Six Siege ecosystem.
According to SuperNova’s statement, the conversations between them and Ubisoft were so advanced that the players had completed the Stage 2 Media Day wearing SuperNova’s kit.
Despite how positive the conversations had been between the two sides involved, the negotiations have stalled. The team said that “to show respect to the sides involved at the time of writing, we won’t go into details now.”
Whilst nothing has been confirmed yet, a report made by R6 ATUALIZADO explains that Ubisoft is now holding talks with Team Vitality. This information hasn’t been made official yet.
The Bees had already been part of Rainbow Six Siege’s esports ecosystem but left on February 2022. The French esports powerhouse had R6 Share skins in the game’s store; however, these can’t be acquired anymore as Team Vitality isn’t a Partnered team in the R6 Share Program. A return to the scene could open that door in the future.
Regardless of who ends up picking up the roster, it’s crucial that they keep at least three players of Ninjas in Pyjamas’ previous roster—otherwise, the team won’t have access to the SI Points the players had collected across Kickoff and Stage 1.
The BLAST R6 South America League 2026 Stage 2 will kick off on September 5, 2026.
