Shopify Rebellion have qualified for the Six Invitational 2027 after today's results at the BLAST R6 Major Osaka Phase 1. The news come a few days after the team announced the departures of Troy "Canadian" Jaroslawski and Richie "Rexen" Coronado.
Shopify Rebellion have had a season full of ups and downs. After a shaky performance in North America's Kickoff stage, the team managed to survive the play-ins of the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City. Eventually, the team ended up reaching the event's grand final following playoff victories against G2 Esports and Twisted Minds. Finally, Shopify Rebellion finished in second place after a 1-3 defeat against DarkZero Esports.
In Stage 1, Shopify Rebellion's fourth place finish was enough to qualify for the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026. However, the first shock of the season happened in Paris, France, as the team failed to reach the event's group stage after losing to CAG by VARREL. A few months later, the team finished in sixth place in North America's Stage 2, a result that was far from being enough to qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka.
Fortunately for the team, today's results have mathematically qualified Shopify Rebellion for the Six Invitational 2027. The players will be able to focus on the tournament throughout the next months. First, however, they will have to find two new teammates.
The Six Invitational 2027 currently includes FaZe Clan, DarkZero Esports, ENTERPRISE Esports, Team Falcons, Weibo Gaming, G2 Esports, Virtus.pro, EDward Gaming, and Shopify Rebellion. More teams will join them in the next few days.
