Ubisoft have confirmed the Rengoku Event as Rainbow Six Siege X's second time-limited event of Operation Daybreak. The Rengoku Event will return to the game on July 30, less than a month after the conclusion of the Showdown Event.
Rainbow Six Siege X's Rengoku Event is a time-limited playlist that takes place in a special version of Skyscraper. This is a 5v5 Secure Area game mode with no friendly fire and a single 10-minute round. The first team to reach 300 favor wins.
The Rengoku Event offers players a unique Siege X experience, as operators have no access to their respective guns. Instead, they have access to shotguns and special kunai, including poison, flash, explosive, and pushback kunai.
The Rengoku Event was first released to Rainbow Six Siege on April 26, 2022, and it was available until May 17, 2022. One year later, the game mode made a brief return as it came back on June 28, 2023, and it left on July 19, 2023.
As in the rest of time-limited events, the Rengoku Event offers players the chance to get their hands on unique cosmetics, which can be obtained by using Renown or R6 Credits.
To make Rengoku Event more unique, this year's edition will include a Mythical weapon skin for Iana and Ash's G36C. While this could be a skin included in a Mythical Bundle, this skin could also be a Memento weapon skin. It's hard to tell right now.
