With Season 16 dropping soon in Overwatch 2, players will finally get a chance to play the new Stadium mode. To promote its release, Blizzard has posted a new trailer showcasing some of the features already revealed about this mode during the Spotlight event back in February.

The trailer confirms this mode will have its own competitive system, separate from the 5v5 or 6v6 comp queues already available in the game. Players can earn competitive points and climb across the seven ranks: Rookie, Novice, Contender, Elite, Pro, All-Star, and Legend.

However, only a selection of heroes will be available at launch, with more set to be added in the future. Here is the list:

  • Support: Ana, Juno, Kiriko, Lucio, Mercy, and Moira
  • Tank: D.Va, Junker Queen, Orisa, Reinhardt, and Zarya
  • Damage: Ashe, Cassidy, Genji, Mei, Reaper, and Soldier: 76

Ranks will reset every season and players who reach certain ranks will unlock exclusive cosmetics. For Season 16, anyone who reaches the "All-Star" rank will receive the All-Stars Juno epic skin.

Here is the trailer for the new game mode in case you haven't seen it:
