The Americans are now world champions.

NRG VALORANT Champions 2025

NRG have won the VALORANT Champions 2025 after a 3-2 victory over Fnatic. The Americans had collected two one-sided victories in the first two maps of the series, but a miraculous Fnatic comeback in Abyss gave the Europeans some hope. Eventually, NRG ended up lifting the title.

NRG have become world champions after a thrilling victory against Fnatic. This is the Europeans' second-place finish at an international competition this year, as they lost against Paper Rex at the Valorant Masters Toronto grand finals.

As the Upper Bracket winners, NRG were given a two-map ban advantage in today's grand final. The Americans decided to veto Haven and Bind, which gave them an initial advantage. After two one-sided wins on Corrode (13-3) and Lotus (13-6) NRG seemed to be on the cruise of a very quick win in Paris.

It got even better for the Americans as they managed to build a ten-round difference against Fnatic on the third map of the series, Abyss, as NRG had an 11-1 lead after the first twelve rounds of the match. Surprisingly enough, the game ended in a 15-13 win for Fnatic, meaning a fourth map would be played.

As Fnatic had finally picked up with NRG's pace, the European mix won the fourth map after claiming a 13-8 win on Ascent. The European fans on the Paris' crowd started to believe in the locals' win. Unfortunately for them, that wouldn't be the case.

On Sunset, NRG was far supperior. The Americans stopped the Europeans quite easily in the first half of the game, building a 9-3 lead after the conclusion of the first half. Eventually, NRG won the map and the game to become world champions.

With an ACS of 244, NRG's Brock "brawk" Somerhalder was the MVP of the VALORANT Champions 2025 grand final. He has become a world champion in his first top flight season in over two years.

Meanwhile, Ethan "Ethan" Arnold has become the first VALORANT player to win Champions twice. He first won it for Evil Geniuses two years ago, in VALORANT Champions 2023.

On the other side of the ring, today's loss means that Fnatic will finish the season with yet another second-place finish. However, combining their previous results in EMEA, Toronto, and Riyadh, the team has gathered around USD$800,000 in prize pool money only. Moreover, this is Fnatic's fourth Champions in a row in which the players finish among the best six sides in the competition, with today's second-place finish being the team's best result in the competition.
