A Shohei Ohtani Fortnite skin? It's happening. Epic Games had been teasing a collaboration with Major League Baseball (MLB), with the LA Dodgers pitcher at the center of it. Well, it's now official.
The battle royale is no stranger to seeing athletes join the fray as skins. We've seen football players like Neymar, Lionel Messi, or Harry Kane, NFL's Patrick Mahomes, and NBA's LeBron James, to name a few.
Now, as MLB is looking to reach younger audiences, it seems that partnering with Fortnite is the type of deal to make it happen. Here's what we know about the crossover and upcoming Shohei Ohtani skin.
How to get the Fortnite Shohei Ohtani skin and cost
The Shohei Ohtani Fortnite skins are coming to the Item Shop on March 17. There will be two skins, each coming with unique complimentary cosmetics.

Ohtani's classic skin is cel-shaded
This cel-shaded skin comes in two styles on top of the Lego one: the iconic white Dodgers jersey and the grey jersey for away matches.
On top of that, it comes with the following cosmetics:
- Decoy Back Bling
- Trusty Two-Way Pickaxe
Samurai Shohei Outfit
Samurai Ohtani will be up for grabs too!
The Samurai Ohtani skin does not have different styles, however, it is a reactive outfit. With more eliminations, you'll get the fiery arm of Ohtani raring to go.
There are some unique cosmetics for you to enjoy with this bundle:

- Baseball Batana Pickaxe
Finally, players will be able to obtain two emotes:
- Doggy Dingers Emote
- Hey Batter Batter Emote
