AC Milan might be joining Fortnite. No, that's not a joke, the Italian football club is rumored to be one of the many upcoming collaborations set to appear in the battle royale.
There's no shortage of rumored Fortnite crossovers at any given moment. Some of the most recent ones include Blade Runner 2049 and Devil May Cry. But having a football club? That's a different story.
Athletes have been a part of the battle royale, including football icons such as Harry Kane, Neymar, Marco Reus, and Lionel Messi. With that said, here's what we know about the AC Milan x Fortnite collaboration.
Is AC Milan coming to Fortnite?
According to rumors, yes, AC Milan is coming to Fortnite. Leaker HYPEX shared information from dataminer Sam Leakss, claiming the Serie A club will have cosmetics added in February.
What's interesting is the fact that AC Milan has technically been in Fortnite before. The Rossoneri were one of 23 teams that partnered with Epic Games in 2021 to introduce the Kick Off set of skins.
The Rossoneri could return to Fortnite
Players could obtain one of the skins in the bundle and unlock 23 selectable styles, one for each team that partnered with Epic Games.
Introduced in January 2021, the skins were last seen in September of that same year. That means they've been missing from the Fortnite Item Shop for over three years and counting.
A new individual collaboration could mean that AC Milan may be working with Epic on a more exclusive set of cosmetics. Perhaps featuring a historic player donning the Rossoneri jersey.
If it ends up being something minor like car decals for Rocket Racing, fans might be disappointed. Only time will tell what are the Italian side and the American developers cooking up.
