Fnatic have signed the former T1, Team Envy, OpTic Gaming, and NRG Esports player Austin "Crashies" Roberts.
The American comes after a year with no international action as NRG Esports' 2024 roster was a flop. However, Crashie was a crucial part of NRG Esports' 2023 season, Team Envy, and OpTic Gaming.
As of now, Fnatic's Valorant roster includes six players as the team is still monitoring Leo "Leo" Jannesson's health and a return has been postponed until after the conclusion of the VCT Kick Off 2025.
The addition of Crashies will be the last one for Fnatic in the current transfer window as the American and Kajetan "kaajak" Haremski have been the chosen players to replace Emirhan "hiro" Kat and Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev. The VCT 2022 Stage 1 Masters Reykjavic and Valorant Champions 2022 grand finalist will add a ton of experience to a roster that has undergone multiple changes in the last few months.
Regarding how this will affect the team ahead of the team's upcoming official appearances, Fnatic's statement explains that the American will be part of Fnatic's starting squad as the team thanked Ștefan "Sayonara" Mîtcu "for his efforts during both Red Bull Home Ground and Riot Games One" and are "excited to see where his talents will take him and look forward to seeing him in VCT in 2026."
Fnatic's first appearance with Crashies in the team will be at the RG ONE PRO INVITATIONAL 2024 as they will play against ZETA DIVISION on December 14. The team will also play against Leviatán and Detonation FocusMe on December 15.
