Festival of the Lost 2024 is fast approaching. The annual Halloween-themed event is one of the longest-running festivities in Destiny 2.
This year comes during Episode: Revenant which has been received with mixed reactions. Bungie is undergoing massive internal turmoil with layoffs and several more employees incorporated into Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Still, Festival of the Lost has some surprises in store for Destiny 2 fans according to leaks. Here's everything we know about the event in 2024.
Festival of the Lost 2024 start date
Unlike previous years, Festival of the Lost will kick off extremely late this year. It will begin on October 29 at the usual weekly reset time, just two days before Halloween on the 31st.
The event will last for a few weeks letting players grind out the cosmetics and new weapons for the next weekly resets until Eva packs up her spooky-themed tent until next year.
Haunted Lost Sectors
Just like in previous years, the Haunted Lost Sector activity will make its return.
These unique sectors will grant you candy, the unique currency for the event which will let you earn more rewards from Eva Levante. On top of that, you will also get access to Eerie Engrams, and Manifested Pages. Engrams can be redeemed for new weapons and Exotic armor.
In the case of Manifested Pages, they are used to complete chapters and earn lore from the Book of the Forgotten. Pages will drop from other activities as long as you have a festive mask on.
Festival of the Lost 2024 armor set
As always, Bungie has a unique armor set for fans to pick up from the Eververse store.
The new armor sets are slick
The theme for this year was good vs evil. Earlier in the year Bungie put up a poll, with Hunters and Warlocks opting for the evil wizard set, meanwhile, Titans sided with the forces of good.
The costs of each set have yet to be revealed but expect to pay a pretty penny using Silver, the game's premium currency. In other words, this set is available for those willing to fork out money.
Festival of the Lost 2024 weapons
The event will feature plenty of revised weapons, with one brand new shotgun debuting: Arcane Embrace.

Exotic class items in Festival of the Lost
Controversially enough, Eva Levant will be selling Exotic class items. These unique class items were introduced with The Final Shape to help players create an even stronger Prismatic build.
You'll be able to purchase Exotic class items for one Eerie Engram and 2500 candy. Now, you do need to own the expansion to purchase these, however, completing the Dual Destiny exotic mission is not required.
If you unlock Exotic Class items from Eva, you will be able to purchase Exotic Class items at Xûr and as rewards from Overthrow chests in The Pale Heart. Do note that to unlock attunement you need to have Dual Destiny completed.
Superblack Shader and new Emblem
The elusive Superblack shader will be available as a reward for the Ghost Writer Event Challenge which requires you to complete 15 Event Challenges.
It came back right before The Final Shape and now players will be able to obtain it once again. Finally, a new Emblem will also be up for grabs: Spectral Carapace.
Emblem collectors are drooling
