Want to find every chess piece in Destiny 2? They are all a lot. But don't worry, we're here to help.
With the April 22 weekly reset, Bungie added dozens of giant chess pieces which are scattered all around the game. When I say all around, I mean it.
You'll have to essentially scour every corner of Destiny 2 to get your hands on every chess piece. Why was this added? Well, no one really knows. You do get a few rewards that hardcore collectors might be interested in. So let's get to it.
All chess piece locations in Destiny 2
Let's give you a big annoying fact right out of the get-go: there are 60 chess pieces for you to collect. That's not a typo, it's not six, sixty.
Some are rather easy, others will take some time. We'll be updating this guide the more we find. Let's get started.
Eris Morn's apartment
Let's start with a few easy ones. Head over to Eris' house and you'll be able to find a total of four chess pieces:

A pawn will be waiting at Eris' house
- A soon as you enter you'll spot a giant pawn on the table
- The next one is left of the Shaping Slab
- Head outside the apartment and walk towards the two talking NPCs, turn right and you'll be able to spot a knight
- Keep going down until you reach the mailboxes. You'll find a bishop here

Gotta find them all
Now, let's move on.
The Drifter
Our good friend Drifter will give you a few chess pieces as a reward. However, there is a small catch: you need to collect chess pieces elsewhere.
Drifter has a total of five chess pieces so keep checking in with him the more you collect.
The Tower
There are a few chess pieces in this area. The first one you'll find a secret (that's not so secret room anymore). As soon as you enter the hangar section, use the stairs to the right that lead above the area where the Future War Cult faction used to be.

It's the "secret room"
Follow the pathway and you'll be led to the room where players first discovered Anna Bray's journal and a pawn.
The next ones are easier:
Head back to the main courtyard of the Tower and use the elevator right past Banshee-44 (the red one in the hallway that leads to the next area of the Tower).
Once down there, head over to the area on your left and turn left once more to enter Zavala's office. A pawn will be waiting for you at the top of some shelves.
The third and final one in the Tower is at the Drifter's location. Go past him and turn left when you reach the massive energy container behind him to spot a rook.
Europa
You'll find two in Europa, both incredibly easy:
- Use the Beyond Landing Zone, turn right and walk past Elsie Bray (Exo Stranger). Jump over the small ice formation and you'll spot a pawn
- Go to Cadmus Ridge and make your way to Clovis' Bray location. Right in from of him you'll find another chess piece.
This is an ongoing article, we'll be updating it shortly with more chess pieces...
