Cloud9 qualify for BLAST R6 Major Osaka

Cloud9 have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka after taking down the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City champions DarkZero Esports in the BLAST R6 North America League 2026 Stage 2 Playoffs.

The series began with a maximum overtime win for Cloud9 on Border, DarkZero Esports' pick. This made the series a hard challenge for the purple roster, who had to beat Cloud9 on their map pick, Villa. Eventually, Cloud9 clinched a spot at the BLAST R6 Major Osaka after a one-sided 7-1 win on the final map.

This will be Cloud9's first international Rainbow Six Siege appearance since playing at RE:L0:AD, the first Rainbow Six Siege X tournament. Back then, Cloud9 couldn't make it to the playoffs despite winning some of their games, against SCARZ and PSG Talon.

Later today, either 100 Thieves or Shopify Rebellion will follow Cloud9's steps. Meanwhile, DarkZero Esports will play against Spacestation tomorrow as it will be the teams' final chance to be in Osaka.
