CAG Osaka have announced the signing of Takashi "Arcully" Ono. The Japanese spent last season in Crest Gaming Lst, where he finished in seventh and fourth place in the Japan League 2024 Stage 1 and Stage 2, respectively.
It's not the first time Arcully joins CAG Osaka. In January 2023, the Japanese joined the Cyclops as he made his debut for the team at the Six Invitational 2023.
Despite kicking off the squad's run in Montreal, Canada, with a 2-1 victory against Team BDS, the roster was sent home shortly after as the players got group staged following defeats against LOS oNe, Astralis, and Oxygen Esports.
During his first spell with the Cyclops, Arcully also featured in the Gamers8 2023 and the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta, as well as in the Japan League 2023 and the Japan Invitational 2023.
Following his departure from CAG Osaka in February 2024, Arcully joined his former team Crest Gaming Lst. After a slow start to the season, which kicked off with a seventh-place finish in the first stage, the team was one win away from qualifying for the BLAST R6 Major Montreal through the Japan LCQ. However, despite winning the first map of the series, the Japanese roster lost in the grand finals against CAG Osaka.
One season after his departure from the Cyclops, Arcully is now back to replace Sho "Sironeko" Endo, who decided to retire. Arcully's first competition with CAG Osaka will be Rio de Janeiro's Reload, which will take place in May 2025.
