BlizzCon returns in 2025 now that a new edition of the signature Blizzard event has been announced. With physical events not being as prominent these past few years, it was no surprise when the studio announced the yearly event would take a year off in 2024.
However, now that a new event has been confirmed, we have gathered all the major details so you can make the necessary preparations if you plan to attend or watch the event.
BlizzCon 2025 dates and location
BlizzCon 2025 will last two days, taking place from Friday, September 12 to Saturday, September 13. This is a bit earlier than usual since the event usually takes place in November.
Following the tradition, the event will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, United States. This has been the venue for the majority of the event's past editions.

At the time of writing, no info on when the tickets will go live or their cost has been announced. We are waiting for more information on that and once we have it, we will update this article with all the details.
What announcements can we expect?
The event will certainly feature a plethora of announcements for all of the Blizzard titles, including Overwatch 2. We can expect the event to have an opening ceremony where developers from each title, or at least most of them, will take a chunk of time to make some announcements.
Then this is usually followed up by individual panels for each game, where developers go more in-depth about the upcoming additions to their games.
