BLAST R6 South America League 2026 Stage 1 Week 3 Preview: O Clássico is back, Brazilian derby, and more!

This weekend's action in South America's top flight is promising.

FaZe Clan South America League 2026

This week's BLAST R6 South America League 2026 Stage 1 action includes some of the most awaited matches of the season, including the 50th Brazilian Classico between FaZe Clan and Team Liquid, the clash between Brazilian esports powerhouses FURIA and LOUD, as well as a highly-interesting duel between Ninjas in Pyjamas and LOS, two sides full of emerging talent and who have recently qualified for international events.

If that wasn't enough, Fluxo W7M and Team Liquid Alienware's results so far this season add even more spice to this weekend's action. Here's what you need to know about the most thrilling storylines:

The 50th Siege Classico

This weekend will be a historical match between Team Liquid Alienware and FaZe Clan as their clash on Sunday will be the 50th time both teams officially meet in the server.

At the time of writing, FaZe Clan is the team with the most wins as they won 27 games against the Blue Cavalry. Meanwhile, Team Liquid Alienware have 21 victories to their name. The remaining score is a 1-1 draw which took place during the Brasileirão 2020.

Although the current back-to-back world champions have solid advantage over Team Liquid Alienware in their head-to-head record, the difference is minimal when we look at the rounds played: out of 929 rounds played, the Blue Cavalry have won one more than FaZe Clan (465 vs. 464). It's extraordinary that, after 49 matches, the difference is so minimal.

Looking at the teams' current runs, the overall feeling is that FaZe Clan are favorites to take the win. The world champions will likely head to their match against Team Liquid Alienware with an unbeaten Stage 1 record, as they currently top the standings with four wins and no defeats. Meanwhile, Team Liquid Alienware currently have a record of two wins and two defeats. Although they had a great start to the stage with back-to-back wins against Challenger Series 2026 teams INTZ and Imperial Esports, the Blue Cavalry had a extremely negative second week which included defeats to FURIA and LOUD.

Brazilian powerhouse derby

Curiously enough, the next storyline we're paying attention to is the one between those two previously mentioned teams. In Brazil, the rivalry between FURIA and LOUD is huge, with both teams having the biggest fanbases in the country.

In Rainbow Six Siege, FURIA have yet to lose against LOUD. However, games between the two have always been tough, with the record between the two esports organizations currently including two overtime scores (8-7 and 8-6), two 7-5 and only one 7-4.

The last time the two esports powerhouses met in Rainbow Six Siege was during South America's Kickoff, which ended in a 7-5 win for the Black Panthers on Fortress.

Whilst FURIA's roster is completely different now after the previous lineup moved to Team Liquid Alienware, the words of João "Jv92" Vitor can still be heard to this day: "FURIA is bigger than LOUD, LOUD only has media, they have only got TikTok. FURIA is a team, an organization. It's not a team of TikTokers! Thanks."

This is just an example of the intense but healthy rivalry between both organizations. Considering LOUD's previous results, including victories against Team Liquid Alienware and INTZ, this may be the best time for the green powerhouse to face off against the Black Panthers.

Duel between emerging talent

LOS and Ninjas in Pyjamas will meet on Sunday in a game that is expected to be quite heated. Both teams qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City and are in the fight to be at the Esports World Cup 2026.

In recent times, Vitor "Peres" Peres has stolen the show as one of the best players in the region, something that can also be said about Ninjas in Pyjamas' Gabriel "Hatez" Kobuszewski. With SiegeGG ratings of 1.25 and 1.37, these are the two most in-form players in the league.

Although LOS are still in a position to reach the league's Top 4, the orange roster will face a tough weekend as they will also play against Fluxo W7M. Following this weekend's action, they will have two games where, on paper, they will be favorites: against Imperial Esports and INTZ, before playing against Team Liquid Alienware.

Meanwhile, Ninjas in Pyjamas have a golden chance to increase their advantage as they will play against Imperial Esports other than LOS. Then, after their match against INTZ, it will get slightly more difficult for the shinobi as they will have to play against Team Liquid Alienware and FURIA.

Can Fluxo W7M bounce back?

Fluxo W7M surprisingly missed out on the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City; and it feels like they could also miss out on the Esports World Cup 2026.

The Brazilians have had a difficult start to the stage as they lost to Black Dragons and FaZe Clan in the first week of the split. This was followed by a 7-1 win against Imperial Esports and a 7-2 loss against Ninjas in Pyjamas. This weekend, the Brazilian powerhouse will play against LOS and INTZ. Winning these two matches would see the Bulls bouncing back to the league's top positions.

Surprisingly enough, Fluxo W7M's Luccas "Paluh" Molina has been pretty unconsistent across the stage's first four games. At the time of writing, the Brazilian is the third-highest rated player in the team with a SiegeGG rating of 1.00. During Kickoff, he was the fourth-best in the league with a SiegeGG rating of 1.21. Meanwhile, in South America's Regional Finals 2025, Paluh scored a SiegeGG rating of 1.28, as well as 1.15 and 1.18 in last year's Stage 1 and Stage 2.

Logically, Paluh having significantly worse numbers than in previous stages has affected the team. He's not the only player who has underperformed in the team, as João "Dotz" Miranda and Denis "Dodez" Navas have averaged SiegeGG ratings of 0.79 and 0.87, respectively.

Today's weekend could be a before and an after for Fluxo W7M. After this weekend's fixtures, the Brazilians will have to play against Team Liquid Alienware, FURIA, and LOUD, three teams that will certainly be hard nuts to crack.
