The BLAST R6 Major Osaka Phase 1 will kick off on November 6 and conclude on November 7. Including eight teams, the Major's play-ins are the first obstacle for almost half of the rosters involved: only four will reach Phase 2, commonly known as Swiss Stage.
It's fair to say Osaka's play-ins will be the most staked in a long while. The BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City champions, DarkZero Esports, and the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026 quarterfinalists, Weibo Gaming, are the favorites to reach the Swiss Stage alongside LOS and Virtus.pro. However, the Chinese teams and APAC North's representatives, All Gamers, TYLOO, KINGZERO eSports, and DPlus KIA will try to defy the odds.

Match previews
Here's a preview for the four confirmed games so far:
DarkZero Esports vs. TYLOO
DarkZero Esports' clash against TYLOO will be their first against a team from the CN League. Meanwhile, this will be TYLOO's second game against a North American team, as they lost against Shopify Rebellion (2-7) at the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026.
The BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City champions are the main favorites to take the win from this game. However, in a BO1 series, anything could happen.
All Gamers vs. LOS
LOS is one of the only teams to have qualified for all international competitions played so far this season, including the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City and the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026. Their consistency and results against some of the best teams in South America make them the favorites to claim the victory against All Gamers, China's second strongest team.
Nevertheless, it's worth noting that All Gamers' only international victory so far came against FURIA at the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City—a 7-3 victory on Fortress.
Dplus KIA vs. Weibo Gaming
This APAC clash should be the most competitive game of the first set of matches. Weibo Gaming are the favorites given their recent results on the international stage; however, Dplus KIA's Brazilian lineup could shock the Asian super roster. In a BO1 series, anything could happen between both teams.
Unlike in the other games, Dplus KIA and Weibo Gaming have met before: Weibo Gaming and Dplus KIA's head-to-head record favors Weibo Gaming, who handed the Brazilians two 0-2 defeats at the APAC Regional Finals 2025 and the Six Invitational 2026. Curiously enough, three of the four maps ended in 7-3 wins for the Asian roster and both series saw different maps, including Chalet, Border, Lair, and Bank.
KINGZERO eSports vs. Virtus.pro
Virtus.pro are the big favorites to win this game. The Bears have already played once against a CN League team, as they beat EDward Gaming (7-2) at the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026.
KINGZERO's international debut came in Paris, France, this August. Back then, the team pushed LOS to overtime on Nighthaven Labs before winning one map against CAG by VARREL.
How do we expect the BLAST R6 Major Osaka play-ins to shape?
Unless major upsets happen, we expect DarkZero Esports, LOS, and Virtus.pro to comfortably win their initial games. Meanwhile, we believe Weibo Gaming will beat DPlus KIA; although this is the toughest series to predict.
Then, anything could happen. DarkZero Esports and LOS will likely meet in the first BO3 series of Day 1. In Salt Lake City, both teams met as the purple roster secured a 7-5 win on Kafe Dostoyevsky. Although this game will be BO3, we expect the Salt Lake City champions to reach the Swiss Stage by beating the Brazilians.
In the other side of the bracket, Weibo Gaming and Virtus.pro should meet in the final BO3 game of Day 1. Both teams have already met twice this season, with the Bears winning in Salt Lake City (7-4) and Weibo Gaming at the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026 (2-1). This would be another difficult game to predict, but we believe Weibo Gaming would end up securing the win.
In the Lower Bracket, DPlus KIA and All Gamers should win their games against TYLOO and KINGZERO eSports, respectively. If what has been mentioned were to happen, All Gamers would play against Virtus.pro whilst DPlus KIA would face off against LOS. In the end, we believe Virtus.pro and LOS would reach the Swiss Stage, with DPlus KIA putting LOS in serious trouble.
