After a weekend full of leaks, EA and DICE have officially confirmed that the next title in their shooter franchise will be titled Battlefield 6.
The franchise's social media account made the title official and also announced that the first trailer is scheduled to come out this Thursday, July 24th.
The trailer will go live on the game's YouTube channel at 8:00 AM PT (4:00 PM BST). The trailer has been scheduled on the following link, and users can set a reminder to receive a notification once the video premieres.
This announcement comes a few days after it was leaked that several content creators received a care package with an invitation to what appears to be a reveal event for the game.
Leaks suggest this event will last three days, starting on Tuesday, July 29th, and there will be an open beta before launch, as has happened with previous releases.
Many members of the community believe the beta will begin on August 4th or shortly after, as indicated by some references found on the game's website and the EA App.
The game hasn't been EA's most well-kept secret, as many users were given access to the Battlefield Labs program to participate in private test sessions, but some have leaked footage of said testing. That has given us an idea of what we can expect from the game, with the level of destruction and mechanics taking the spotlight.
We will have to wait for the trailer (and the reveal event) to get a look at the content the game will offer on launch.
Although a release date hasn't been announced, we know that the title will come out at some point during this fiscal year, which ends on March 31st, 2026. If we were to guess, the game might be targeting a late 2025 release, but only time will tell.
