100 Thieves qualify for BLAST R6 Major Osaka

100 Thieves have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka after taking down the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City grand finalists, Shopify Rebellion.

The thieves had a strong start to the series as they secured the first map of the series following an 8-6 win on Clubhouse. Eventually, they claimed the win after a 7-3 win on Bank.

In similar fashion, Cloud9 also qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka in the previous game after taking down the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City champions, DarkZero Esports. The remaining two spots in North America will be given to the winners of the clashes of DarkZero Esports vs. Spacestation and Shopify Rebellion vs. M80.

The BLAST R6 Major Osaka will be 100 Thieves' international debut in Rainbow Six Siege. The American esports organization had joined the Rainbow Six Siege esports ecosystem earlier this year.

Although the team has changed since it made its initial steps, the roster now includes two BLAST R6 Major champions in Matthew "Hotancold" Stevens and Zachary "SpiriTz" Dionne, the former Oxygen Esports duo Arthur "GMZ" Oliveira and Adam "Atom" Gutiérrez, as well as the American talent Kason. It's fair to say all eyes will be on this team in Osaka, as expectations around the thieves are at an all-time high.
