Gabriel "LaXInG" Mirélez has today announced his retirement from Rainbow Six Siege. His decision comes after having represented Parabellum Esports in the North America League 2023 Stage 1.
While LaXInG is mostly known for his Rainbow Six Siege career on PC, the American player's biggest achievement was winning the Six Invitational 2017 under Elevate's XBOX One team.
Following the team's victory in Canada, LaXInG moved to PC as he started representing Elevate.
On Feb. 2018, LaXInG signed for Counter Logic Gaming. He represented the organization at the Six Invitational 2018, where they finished at the bottom of their group.
Later on, the American signed for beastcoast, almost three weeks before the organization sold the squad to Cloud9. There, LaXInG won the DreamHack Montreal 2018 after defeating Rogue by 2018.
On Jan. 2019, the roster signed for Team Reciprocity as they would represent the orange brand until Mar. 2020, when the team was acquired by Oxygen Esports.
During that period of his career, LaXInG got some of his best results at international competitions, reaching the Top 4 at both the Six Invitational 2019 and the PL Season 10 Finals.
Under Oxygen Esports, LaXInG finished in the Top 6 of the Six Invitational 2021 and in the Top 8 of the Six Invitational 2022. His final international performance for the green roster was a semi-finals finish in the Six Charlotte Major.
Following his departure from Oxygen Esports, the American was offered a position as a coach in Elevate. Unfortunately, the team missed out on the Six Jönköping Major and LaXInG parted ways with the organization less than three months after his arrival.
LaXInG's final chapter as a professional Rainbow Six Siege player was under Parabellum Esports, where he finished at the bottom of the North America League 2023 Stage 1 standings.
