The Fortnite x Squid Game event is officially coming out this week, with fans of the game and Netflix series beaming with joy. Various leaks have also given us plenty of information regarding what’s being added and how much they cost. It won’t be long before fans get their hands on this crossover, so they'd better save up or start practicing their skills to get the skins they want.

Now that we know some of these leaks are real, we’re interested in seeing how popular this event will be. We’re still shocked that the crossover won’t include actual characters from the show, especially since it's the final season. Still, these cosmetics are iconic enough, and fans will want to get them when they can.

So, here’s everything we know about the Fortnite x Squid Game event.

When is the Fortnite and Squid Game collaboration coming out?

These Squid Game skins will be coming to Fortnite on June 27, the same day as the show’s finale.

Since these skins are already pretty detailed and can be used, it’s clear that they’ve been finished for a while. Releasing them during the Superman season is a surprising move, but fans will appreciate getting their hands on these skins soon. Although the lack of main characters is still annoying.

Launch trailer

A new trailer for the Fortnite X Squid Game crossover was released, revealing some content the leaks didn’t spoil.

There’s going to be a new Fortnite Reload Map based on the show, giving fans some more variety in locations and weapons.

As many expected, the trailer pays tribute to the show in its own way. Some of the cinematic shots are clearly meant to parallel what we’ve seen in the Netflix series. There are also some sound bites fans will recognize. More importantly, that signature Fortnite gameplay still looks really fun.

Character skins

Outside of the show’s guards, none of the main characters from Squid Game will be part of the event. Fortnite’s original characters will be wearing the show’s signature jumpsuits, and that’s about it.

The leak from iFireMonkey has received mixed opinions from fans. Some do like how the jumpsuits and guards look in-game. Others are upset that we won’t be getting any of the main characters from this show, given how popular it is. Expect fans to keep these mixed reactions until the skins launch.

Prices

HypeX and NotPaloLeaks have confirmed that the Squid Game Gears Bundle will cost 3,000 V-Bucks. There’s also a Gear Bundle worth 700 V-Bucks.

As usual, this is a "bargain" for those who want all the skins, but players can also just buy the ones they want separately.

Fans of the show and hardcore collectors will want to get these skins when they come out. Based on the game’s history, there’s a very good chance that they won’t be available for a long time after this season ends. Just be prepared to spend all of your V-Bucks for every skin based on the show.
