Following the conclusion of the play-in stage, the IEM Cologne 2024 brackets have already been confirmed.
The best eight teams from the play-in stage have joined the best-eight teams, which were chosen from the ESL World Rankings, previous IEM champions, and the ESL Pro League S19 champion.
The second stage of the competition is the group stage and will include two brackets.
Groups will also included a Lower Bracket, as the format followed in the competition is a double-elimination bracket. This means that teams will be able to lose once, but not twice.

- Natus Vincere vs. paiN Gaming
- 9z Team vs. Astralis
- G2 Esports vs. SAW
- The MongolZ vs. Team Spirit
Group B
- MOUZ vs. Team Falcons
- Compexity vs. Virtus.pro
- FaZe Clan vs. Team Liquid
- FURIA Esports vs. Team Vitality
The best three teams from each group will move to the IEM Cologne 2024 playoffs, which will kick off on August 16.
