Battlefield 6 is on the way, and we already know DICE is preparing some sort of battle royale mode for its newest entry in the saga.
Data miners previously found many references to this mode in the files of the Battlefield alpha, which only certain players registered on the Battlefield Labs program can access. However, a new set of leaks has come out, revealing not only some details of this mode but also the intro cutscene that will play at the start of each match.
User temporyal, a well-known Battlefield leaker on X (formerly Twitter), posted this new leak revealing that the map is set in California, the insertion will be done with CH-47 Chinook helicopters, and that the destructive ring that reduces the area of play as the match progresses is made of a compound called "NXC".
For those who want to see the meaty part of this leak, you can watch part of the game mode's intro cutscene below:
We expect the cutscene to play once players load into a match and before they can start dropping into the map, similar to what happens in Call of Duty: Warzone.
There is still no news on when the new Battlefield is coming out. The only certain thing is that the game is in its alpha stage, and private test sessions continue to take place for those enrolled in the Battlefield Labs program.
