All games have ups and downs and Rainbow Six Siege is no exception. Back in October 2025, the game's average player number had drastically decreased, and, in November 2025, it was already at around 31,800 according to Steam Charts. In less than a year, this number has been doubled, and it currently stands at around 63,000 daily players.
Keep in mind that these numbers are for PC only and the console community is the largest in the game; in fact, according to Ubisoft's co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot, Rainbow Six Siege had surpassed 2.5 million players earlier this year. In other words, Ubisoft's recent decisions have clearly had a positive impact on the popular shooter.
As good news keep coming in, players want to know more and more. During the Six Invitational 2026, played in February 2026, Ubisoft revealed the Year 11 Roadmap, including information about the next four seasons. Although the leading developers didn't go into much detail regarding Year 11's Seasons 2, 3, and 4, they teased the community, planting various seeds for the future. Confirmation of Ranked 3.0, the addition of a new competitive playlist, anti-cheating updates, or the launch of 1v1 and 3v3 playlists are just a handful of them.
Two months into the first season of Year 11, Operation Silent Hunt, it's now time to start preparing the path to the upcoming season. Here's what we know so far about the release date of Rainbow Six Siege's Year 11 Season 2.
When will the next season of Rainbow Six Siege be released?
The next season of Rainbow Six Siege is expected to be released in the first week of June, 2026.
Although Year 11 Season 2 still hasn't got an official release date, there are multiple reasons to believe it will be on June 2 or June 3.
First of all, Rainbow Six Siege operations are always released two weeks after the season has been unveiled. This time, Year 11 Season 2 will be released on the final day of the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City, which will be May 17, 2026. Therefore, considering this two-week difference, Year 11 Season 2 should be launched in the first week of June.
Another indicator that tells us that Rainbow Six Siege's Year 11 Season 2 will be deployed in the first week of June is the ending date of Operation Silent Hunt's Battle Pass.
Ubisoft's intention is to make Rainbow Six Siege an "annual billionare brand" and that can only happen if the right decisions are made in the next couple of months. Will Ubisoft deliver what Rainbow Six Siege fans want?
What's coming in Rainbow Six Siege's Year 11 Season 2?
Rainbow Six Siege's Year 11 Seas0n 2 is expected to include the following updates:
- Ranked 3.0
- Calypso Casino as Rainbow Six Siege's new map
- New weapon
- Dokkaebi Remaster

These are just some of the updates that are expected to be launched in Rainbow Six Siege's Year 11 Season 2. Logically, the season will also bring operator balancing changes. Stay tuned for more!
