Rainbow Six Siege's Operation System Override was released on June 2, 2026. Since then, players have been enjoying the new map, Calypso Casino, as well as the new Battle Pass, the long-awaited Ranked 3.0, and the various operator balancing changes launched. However, not everything has been fireworks as Dokkaebi's remaster stole the show... for the worst reasons.
Dokkaebi's new shape has caused a lot of frustration in Rainbow Six Siege in just one week. Ubisoft reworked her operator ability, previously known as the Logic Bomb, and made the brand-new Payload Jegeo. Before Year 11 Season 2 Dokkaebi was already a strong operator, but her new device has elevated even more her position in Rainbow Six Siege's meta.
Right now, Dokkaebi's absurd versatile loadout is combined with an incredibly annoying device which allows the South Korean to spam call a specific defender. In competitive play, players already lean towards letting the phone explode, meaning Dokkaebi can't call them anymore. In other words, they decide to sacrifice information to avoid Dokkaebi's calls; that's how annoying and impactful these are.
One week after Dokkaebi's remaster was released, Ubisoft have already announced "adjustments coming this season." This means that Dokkaebi will be nerfed at some point during Operation System Override, likely in the mid-season patch.
Their decision has come after listening to the community's feedback. They also mentioned about the frustration caused by Dokkaebi's new calls, saying that "Dokkaebi can be persistent with her back-to-back calls."
Although adjustments to Dokkaebi's Payload Jegeo have already been confirmed, Ubisoft are still listening carefully to what the players have to say about the South Korean's performance in the game.
We think that one way to balance her would be that Dokkaebi could only call once per scan. Therefore, once a defender is scanned, that defender can only be called once until another attacker pings them again. Another adjustment could be reducing the amount of health points that the phone explosion causes, from 40 HP to 20 HP. We don't think Ubisoft will tweak her loadout, as the main issue right now is Dokkaebi's ability; not her weapons and gadgets.
